THE STAGES OF HEARTBREAK WITH MARIA KOBLISH

Psycho! is an immersive art exhibit showcasing the stages of heartbreak. This website serves as a host for the experience shown through the videos above. The experience, much like heartbreak, is meant to feel overwhelming and is pieced together through contemporary imagery and music. The exhibit will take viewers through the emotive journey of being in love, heartbreak, anger, and finally, acceptance. The project was conceived out of my own experience, which is prominent throughout the imagery used. The idea is to use heartbreak as the vessel to connect and empathize with the shared human experience which is love and loss. Together we can fall madly in love with the tumultuous nature of young love and together we can heal through art and sound.

We can sometimes be shamed for the sensitivity and vulnerability we exhibit when in relationships— we are called weak, erratic, crazy… Psycho! explores the emotional landscape of what it means to be unapologetically crazy. Be Psycho! Psycho! is celebrated.
